ACB ARRESTS FORMER PARLIAMENT SECURTY ASSISTANT, MAXWELL KOMWA

The Anti-Corruption Bureau received a complaint alleging that Maxwell Komwa a Senior Security Assistant at the National Assembly used ghost workers to corruptly obtain money from the National Assembly.

The Bureau instituted investigation which established that Maxwell Komwa had inserted names of civilians on the list of hired police officers for his personal benefit.

On 29th June, 2016 the Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested Maxwell Komwa. He was released on bail on 30th June after producing one surety and depositing K50, 000.00 cash with the Court. He will be reporting to Kasungu Police Station once every week. He will appear in Court in Lilongwe on 15th July, 2016 for commencement of trial.
